
i'm sure i don't even need to explain why i'm posting this...el-p is the reason i still check for new hiphop, not only did he spearhead the whole diy/independant movement(along with co-flow), he produces and raps too(thank you)and imo far tighter than you're average artist who does one or the other - i'm still figuring out metaphors and punchlines after years of rinsing this album. But there's more - after he and others fell victim to rawkus's reluctance to innovate - he started def-jux records, and signed all your favourite mc's and a few you hate.
